Biography

Square

Hannah McMillan is a self-taught visual artist in Edmonton, in practice for 5 years focusing on acrylic and oil mediums, charcoal and ink – including public art fixations.

As an active exhibiting artist; with styles varying from portraits to abstracts and realism, understanding painting as a form of expression, this has burned a passion for public art that has carried her through majority of her life. Heavily influenced by human connection, music, and all things obscure, her ultimate goal for the upcoming years is to create more public art within Edmonton, and onward. To be able to provide and connect with communities, and collaborate with other artists is a motive with unspeakable value.

Being involved and collaborating in Art Shows, Group Gallery Exhibitions, and multiple Public Art Fixations, including Murals, Signs, and Public Art Sculpture Restorations and Paint Teaching Classes has provided me with extensive experience as an artist residing within Edmonton. Growing up around artists of many different styles has evolved me to become an eye of the arts, a experimentalist, and a grower by definition.

Hannah’s roots as an artist stems from a collective group of family, friends and icons. Being able to extend and connect with people through art with experimentation by practice is a risk worth taking. Showing courage and passion, please take your time and be open to what art can offer to you.
